Governor Signs Three Bills Introduced by Senator Moody

Senator Moody successfully secured passage of three critical pieces of legislation that he introduced during the 2008 Session of the General Assembly and the Governor has added his signature to each of them in support of the initiatives. All three bills have now become law.
SB 344 eliminates 12 Boards and Commissions that are no longer accomplishing their intended objectives. Senator Moody will continue to work on this type of legislation to reduce the size of government in Georgia.
SB 523 addresses an education funding issue dealing with the Capital Outlay program that provides assistance to local school systems for the construction of new facilities. He will continue to work on Education Funding issues during the summer and fall as a result of SR 1213. This Senate Resolution that he introduced creates a study committee to develop improvements to education funding across the entire State.
SB 507 helps improve the delivery of therapy services to children with disabilities. To learn more about the background follow:
